Jamie Batschke is our new Executive Director here at School of Economics. She has dedicated her 30-year career to investing in the lives of children and families through her non-profit work and Federal service. This pursuit has led her to the management of programs that address diverse challenges, such as substance abuse, childhood health and wellness, and support for low-income children and families. Jamie has worked with school districts nationwide, and is passionate about empowering children through education and real-world learning to ensure they are equipped to overcome life’s challenges. She couldn’t be more excited to bring her passion and commitment to the children of SOE. In her free time, Jamie enjoys hiking, baking and teaching yoga.
Tawny Saunders is our new Development Director here at School of Economics and has a diverse background in nonprofit development. She has worked in event management, fundraising, and leadership roles for nonprofits as large as MDA and as small (but amazing!) as Springs Rescue Mission. Tawny moved from Colorado to Kansas City in 2015 and enjoys exploring new places! In her free time, Tawny is chasing her toddler, kayaking, and spending as much time as possible with her family in the great outdoors.
